Barisciano Piece en Piece
In 2009, the area of L'Aquila in Italy experienced a 6.3 earthquake. As part of the city's rebuilding efforts, we constructed this piece en piece custom log home using wood and metal anchoring systems to withstand future earthquakes. Instead of traditional dovetail corners, we used a post and beam system to pull the Western Red Cedar walls together.
